The Siamese cat is originally from Thailand, formerly known as Siam. They are one of the oldest domestic cat breeds. In Siam, they were considered a member of the royal family. You’ll find them depicted in ancient manuscripts dating back to 1350. They were so beloved that this blue-eyed cat was on display at London’s Crystal Palace in 1871.
